SOME THOUGHTS ON THE NEW YEAR 2025

If the brethren have a mind to read, I have been given some thoughts as we enter into this new year. While they are not to be compared or taken as truth, unless they, by examination, are found to be align with THE TRUTH, I pray they convey the truth of God’s word and edify the reader. 

Daniel 2:21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: 22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.

God is eternal, time is not a thing for him. Seasons and days are for men. The beginning of a new year does not mean God’s purpose resets or starts anew. His divine decree still stands and his eternal purpose is meticulously moving to its glorious predestinated end. That book, that no man can open was opened by the the One who sits on the throne, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the Lamb that stood as slain from the foundation of the world.(Rev 5:1-4) This divine book of God’s eternal decree, continues to be unrolled and its contents revealed and manifested as Christ providentially brings about everything purposed to be, by the will and the power of God. Despite all of men’s timeframes and feeble attempts to change, improve or assist God, Jehovah continues to say “my counsel shall stand, I will do all my pleasure!” “In the armies of the heavens and among the inhabitants of the earth.”

So as the new year comes, I am once again reminded of this particular truth, not only by scripture, but by experience:

“but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day”

So as God’s temporal timeline, in accordance to His eternal decree, continues to be unfurled year after year, I once again find, the flesh remains the flesh and cannot please God. Despite the attempts to attain righteousness through obedience, “what I would, that I do not” and I once again find that I serve the law of sin with the flesh. (Rom 7)

However, that which is “born of the Spirit is spirit” and “where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty”. And they “whom the Son has set free, are free indeed”. “Therefore there is no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus”. For He who lived, who died and is now risen again, has “made all things new!” 

So as the time in this earthly habitation toils on until it’s appointed end, in it’s contradiction of flesh and spirit, in Christ Jesus, we have hope of eternal life and we “await the adoption, to wit the redemption of our bodies”

So as 2025 has started, my hope is not in our government, nor people in general, or even my own self improvement/righteousness

My hope is built on nothing less than JESUS blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but WHOLLY lean on JESUS NAME!!!!

Glory to God, His purpose shall stand.
