The Home Mission Board formed in 1847 over the issue of slavery, is still around with the name North American Mission Board - ed.

NAMB, which is led by Kevin Ezell, has a historical pattern of partnering with organizations without doing his due diligence. For example, NAMB is still in partnership with a major megachurch in Florida that is regularly baptizing openly practicing and unrepentant homosexuals to plant churches. NAMB also regularly plants churches with women pastors in opposition to the SBC's
statement of faith.    

It is not being claimed in this article that all Southern Baptists approve of the LGBTQ movement.  We assume the majority of them have not descended into apostasy that far.  But among some of what are called its "megachurches," there are trends that are departing from even a nominal accordance with scripture.  Justin Peters is among those who are pointing out these departures from the faith.  If our readers wish to view some of the things New Schoolers are descending into, we submit this video:

Some of our readers might ask why do we bother with these kinds of articles.  Gilbert Beebe, the editor of the Signs of the Times, often quoted articles in newspapers of things that were going out among New School Baptists and commented on them.  We seek to do the same.  We close with these words from Elder Gilbert Beebe:
